Dennis, founder of Maxim magazine, is one misunderstood mogul. He intended his previous book, How to Get Rich, to be ironic. Readers found it "inspirational," and he's back in the ring to make his point. Like the first book, this is another tongue-in-cheek "anti-self help manual, written to dissuade the majority of readers from making the attempt to acquire real wealth." He presents short meditations on motivation, rules of management, and conquering mental impediments. His wit is dry, and his advice ranges from thought provoking ("If you cannot treat your quest to get rich as a game—a silly game with serious rules—you will never be rich") to, more frequently, exceedingly silly ("You are a wild pig rooting for truffles. You are a weasel about to rip the throat out of a rabbit. You are an entrepreneur.")—but the crabby tone becomes grating. And since some of the content was repurposed from the original book, this collection, for all its entertainment value, ends up feeling slim and unfulfilling. Felix Dennis is the chairman of Dennis Publishing, which publishes The Week among many other magazines. He was the founder of Maxim, one of the most successful new magazines of the last decade. He has written several volumes of poetry that have been performed live onstage by the Royal Shakespeare Company. His other interests include breeding rare pigs, drinking French wine, collecting first edition books, and avoiding business meetings. He has homes in London, Stratford-upon-Avon, New York City, Connecticut, and the Caribbean island of Mustique.

One of the Top 3 most influential books I have ever read...

Hands down, the most influential book I ever read on having a wealth mindset. Changed my life. Felix Dennis tells it like it is, straight to the point. I love the short chapters as it made his wisdom even more memorable. I have this book with me everyday of my life. I turn to it when I feel resistance setting in from challenges in life and business. I can open it to any page and find the words I need to press on. It is one of my Top 3 most important books I have ever read...and I read at least a book every 2 weeks. The few dollars you will spend will go farther than most other investments you can make to help you achieve something extraordinary in life. I give this book my highest recommendation. Best Wealth Building Book I Own...

This is hands down the best book on building wealth I have found.
I've been through 50+ books ranging from wealth building, business, and biographies all the way to nebulous "self-help" tomes.
If you really want to make serious money. If you're actually willing to quit your day job and DO SOMETHING with your life. If you are done reading from authors who have never actually started a business. Then this book is for you.
If you enjoy your "good paying job with benefits" you might want to stick with something a bit more tame and less action-oriented.
If you're done screwing around and are currently starting your business (not "thinking about it") then BUY THIS BOOK NOW!

A guide for how to become filthy rich

Irreverent, funny, sophisticated, blunt and with a great deal of credibility – Felix lays out exactly what it takes to earn lots of money. This is a no holds barred look at what you must do if you are truly serious about becoming filthy rich. Personally, that is not my goal in life, but I did learn a ton of great ideas to help me become wealthier, which I found extremely helpful.
