The book is inexpensive, and provides a grammar review for general and academic test-takers. The CD has UK speakers, a minus.

The exercises are good. For instance, after reading about the IELTS method and organization, students have to fill in blanks on their understanding of the text. This tests their understanding of the test and also of word order and general grammar. Students enjoy using it. The vocabulary-building instructions, and the pages for the students to write a vocabulary list in the back of the book, are also beneficial.
